The room darkening fabric lets in a small amount of light and there is no glare on TV/screens. It gives a strong sense of privacy as shapes and light are barely perceived from the outside.
Luxurious thick velvet that falls elegantly and captures the light, adding depth and richness to the colour. The dense weave dampens sound, softens light from outside and is also resistant to pilling.
Curtains can reduce solar heat and heat loss from draughty windows. For best results, hang them close to the window from floor to ceiling, and let them overlap the frame on the sides to minimise gaps.
Curtains with eyelets create a soft, harmonious drape with a modern feel. They glide easily on the curtain rod and are suitable for windows where curtains are opened and closed often.
Choose from different lengths and colours to adapt to different window sizes and to create a coordinated look throughout your home.
- Room darkening fabricThe room darkening fabric lets in a small amount of daylight, when it is brighter outside and darkens the room. It prevents glare on TV's and digital screens. It gives you a strong sense of privacy as people cannot see in day or night. Silhouettes and light indoors are barely perceived.
- Cotton velvet like no otherThe unmatched softness and opulent feel of velvet, made from 100% cotton, bring a touch of elegance to any space. Its thick pile captures the light, revealing a rich depth of colour that enhances the room. Made with resilient cotton fibres and a tight weave, this velvet is both durable and resistant to pilling, ensuring it remains fresh and beautiful for years to come. A perfect blend of style and enduring quality, crafted to stand the test of time.
- Curtain, 1 pair included.
- Since the fabric will shrink when washing it is a good idea to wash the curtains prior to cutting/hemming.
- For full window coverage: multiply the rod/track width by 1.5 for a full look, or 2 for an extra full look. Then divide by the width of 1 curtain and round up.
- You can use SY iron-on hemming strip to shorten the curtains without sewing.
- Velvet can be prone to marks/creases. To remove them, iron the fabric with steam on the reverse side, then gently brush the pile where the mark/crease is to lift it.
- The inner diameter of the grommet is 3.9 cm and fits all IKEA curtain rods as well as most other curtain rods with standard diameter dimensions.
