Don't worry about hitting your toes, since sandbags are softer and gentler on your feet than stone or concrete, even when fully filled with sand.
The sandbags are made from 90% recycled polyester, a durable and waterproof textile that resists mould and dirt.
The grey-coloured sandbags gives a discreet impression and coordinates nicely with most surroundings.
IGGÖN sandbags for parasol base come in a pack of 4 and they fit with all IKEA hanging parasols.
HÖGÖN parasol, hangingThe fabric gives very good protection against the sun's UV rays as it has a UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) rating of 25+, which means it blocks 96% of the ultraviolet radiation.
It's easy to keep the canopy clean and fresh since you can easily remove and machine wash it.
The air vent reduces wind pressure and allows heat to circulate.
The hook-and-loop strap keeps the fabric in place when folded.
The colour stays fresh for longer, as the fabric is highly resistant to fade thanks to the good lightfastness.
The dope-dyeing process reduces consumption of water and dyestuff while improving colour fastness compared to traditional dyeing techniques.
Good to know
Always fold the parasol when not in use and never use it when it is windy.
The parasol does not provide protection against reflected or scattered solar ultraviolet radiation.
